Winning an international competition brings prestige to every organization, AsiaStar is the only Asia-wide packaging award.  The trophy and logo make it more meaningful and winners will enjoy tangible benefits:

•    Presentations of the winners in numerous packaging publications, on – line and in the “AsiaStar 2007 Winners” brochure.

•    Encouragement to students to generate new ideas.

Award Categories

There are three (3) award categories for the AsiaStar awards, namely, consumer package, transportation package, and student category.  These categories represent the general distinctions in their applications. The consumer package is the one that is directed toward a consumer or household whereas the transportation package is the package form used to ship, store, and handle the product or inner packages.  The last category is student category which aims to encourage student to find innovative ideas on packaging design and production.

Eligibility

To ensure that entries represent the highest quality of packaging.  AsiaStar entries should have own a national packaging-related award in their country in 2005 or 2006 or 2007 and should not have been entered for any of previous AsiaStar competition, which could make them invalid. 

For Student category award, Entries should have won National Student Award during 2005 or 2006 or 2007 and should not have been for any of previous AsiaStar competition, which could make them invalid. Entries for student category should be forwarded along with a Certificate of the Award or Letter from the respective country Institute / Association.  Unauthorized use of any commercial trademark on package could make the entry invalid.
