Taking the Mass-Rapid-Transit (MRT) train

Singapore is connected by a comprehensive MRT network with reasonably-priced tickets which you can purchase from any MRT station.
Alight at the City Hall station, one of the two main MRT interchanges, is a five-minute walk from CHIJMES. Exit from the  Raffles City Shopping Centre - CHIJMES runs parallel to it.

By Taxi

Taxis are plentiful in Singapore and easy to flag down. Tell the taxi driver to drive you to "CHIJMES".
If more detailed information needs to be given, just tell him that you're going to "CHIJMES, next to Raffles City Shopping Centre, where City Hall MRT station is".

Do note that Singapore taxi companies charge an additional peak-hour fee:
Morning Peak-hour - 7am to 9.30am = S$2.00
Evening Peak-hour - 5pm to 8pm = S$2.00
