Dr Carl Olsmats has more than 15 years experience in research and consultancy in the field of packaging foresight, strategies, logistics and sustainability at STFI-Packforsk in Sweden.

The title of his Doctor's thesis published in 2002 is "The Business Mission of Packaging – Packaging as a strategic tool for business development towards the future".

In 2002, he also became the General Secretary of World Packaging Organisation - WPO.
