Kunio Sawamura

Director - Packaging Materials Division

Japan Packaging Research Institute

Mr Kunio Sawamura graduated from Saitama University (Dept. of Science) and entered Lion Corporation in 1964. Having been engaged in research & development and production management, he assumed a post of Director of Quality and Safe Control Management in 1991.
After retirement from Lion Corporation, he joined Japan Packaging Institute in 2001. Since then, he has been mainly engaged in standardization activities of JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) and ISO in packaging as Director of Packaging Materials Division of Japan Packaging Research Institute. He is also a secretary and member of JPI technical committee.
