Paul Clegg
Global Packaging Manager
Unilever (retired)
Paul worked for Unilever for almost 40 years and retired in August 2007 when his final position was Global Director for Packaging Technology.

In this role he and his team worked closely with Unilever’s Global
Supply Management Organisation, ensuring that best value was obtained
from the €3.5 Billion Packaging spend. Two key tools that were
developed and deployed were cost modelling and mould management.
Paul has a degree in Chemical Engineering and his Unilever career
involved roles in Manufacturing, Quality and R&D as well as Supply
Management and he has worked in a number of different geographies.
He has focussed on Packaging since 1990 and regards the three years he
spent in charge of Unilever’s Asian Packaging Organisation between 1999
and 2002 as one of his career highlights. Paul is now a consultant
focussing mainly on supporting Brand Owners on the use of technology
and leadership building, organisation and processes to get best value
from their packaging.
