At-sunrice: Spice Garden Walk & Morning Gourmet

The ultimate experience in pan-Asian cuisine. This cooking class is a delightful and savoury experience for anyone with an inquisitive mind and appreciative stomach!

On every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8:30am to 1:30pm

Level 1: Spice Garden Walk
Enjoy a morning stroll through the tranquil garden, learning from one of our guides about the intricacies of spice and herb use in Asian cooking. Identify different species of plants, observe where seeds grow and learn how to look for the best leaf. Then head back to the academy to observe the pounding, grinding, stirring, slicing and stir-frying that will produce a fabulous and versatile spice paste. Follow this insightful and enjoyable experience with a delicious morning tea reception, savouring not only the flavours and aromas encircling you, but also the beautiful park expanse spread before your eyes.

Level 2: Chef Demonstration, Hands-On Cooking and followed by lunch (Enjoy what you cook).
After your tea, continue into the classroom to watch a seasoned chef prepare several fabulous dishes, all of which you will get a chance to taste afterwards. Observe the tricks and secrets of Asian cooking up close. Conclude it with a wonderful meal that you have helped prepare.
